About Me
Dad was a central government employee (passed away in feb 2008), mom is a housewife and I have one younger sister. We grew up in a lot of different places (had a weirdly enchanted childhood), Bangalore, Delhi, Singapore, Kerala and Hong Kong, the reason I mention this is because I think it had a lot influence on the kind of individuals me and my sister grew up to be and the sort of family we are. In a nutshell my sister and my mom can be categorized as traditional and I and my dad used to be the other side of the coin.
I work as a project manager for a software company in Hyderabad and my mom and sister stay with me (we are also looking for a groom for my sister; she has completed her ICWA and now works for an MNC in Hyderabad). I did my BA Hons in Chinese from the Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi and started my career in IT as a language specialist and worked my way through quality assurance in to project management.
Financially the family can be categorized as middle class. Have been broke and have had our share of the “good life†too.
I am a non-vegetarian (not by much) drink occasionally and do not smoke. Hobbies and interests include reading (have read all the harry potter books 6 times now), movies (have seen thousands of movies so it’s a really big thing for me), computer games (die hard fan of the adventure genre) and writing (can’t spell my own name properly if I write it more than once but want to be a writer one day).
My future aspirations are never too well defined. So will list what I want so far this year. Will like to get certified this year as PMP, live in New york for a few years, travel on the trans-Siberian railroad from Moscow to China and then cross over to Japan(either as a honeymoon or after retirement). watch tons of Japanese animations, pay of my credit card debts, get my sister married to a good guy, loose a ton of weight (5 yrs ago was 70kg and was supposed to join the army as an officer but decided against it in favor of slaving away in front of a comp), go to all the temples my mom wants me to go, find a new obsession (past ones include Friends, Harry potter, Avatar the last airbender, House MD, Scrubs, South Park and Eminem)
I am an introvert disguised as an extrovert, make friends quickly but stick to only a few among the ones I meet. I have three best friends and two stepneys (required for load balancing) who are used to getting weird phone calls from me in the middle of the night either to discuss philosophy (my own, I call mcxism) or a passionate rant on what I think is the meaning of life this week. I talk a lot without thinking (or don’t speak at all), sometimes give the impression that I am a genius and mostly am an idiot (certified by my family). I used to have a good heart then I upgraded to being the devil.
As for my family it includes my extended family and a few friends, we are all scattered across different parts of the world but the bond is strong. We have all been there for each other all our lives and hope the future generations will continue the same tradition.
I have no clue what I am looking for in a partner, but perhaps its best to sumarize what I am - I love being lazy, sleep a lot, work really hard occasionally, am always late, messy, wierd, clueless, sometimes creative, occasionally funny and I am considered a nice guy. The most I know so far is that I am looking for a kind human being (I dont hate anyone in my life and try to treat everyone with respect so this quality is very important to me, as for the kind of relationship I am looking for - an emotional connection, an intelligent partnership and I know it’s a cliché but most definitely friendship.
